Grey clouds and wet weather weren't enough to stop us from paying yet another visit to the Cottesmore Hunt today, along with sabs from Northampton, Derby, and Beds & Bucks.
From the word go the huntsman was determined to get a kill, encouraging hounds to chase a fox from covert to covert across the Leicestershire countryside. In fact, it was almost directly outside their meet (Waterloo Lodge, Stapleford LE14 2SF) that sabs had to go all out with horns and gizmos to ensure a fox escaped, after it was spotted with hounds less than 20m behind! Leicestershire police watched as this fox narrowly escaped with it's life, before deciding they were far more worried about the potential damage to crops sabs might cause!
Luckily, we've got a much better sense of perspective than the police, so we cracked on keeping ourselves glued to the hunt, intervening at every possible point to ensure the huntsman had another frustratingly kill free day. This did lead to some temper issues, with riders ramming our vehicle and support driving at sabs, but hey, it's nice to know we're getting to them!

Apparently the huntsman Andrew Osborne was upset by comments on facebook calling him a paedo, we've no idea where this has come from and can't comment on his relations with children, but can assure you his determination to kill in our mind does make him a massive nonce!

Keep it up Sabs. Every decent compassionate wildlife loving human is in awe of what you do.
Give me a gun and a dog and I'd hunt the sick waste of oxygen egotistical pricks down and rip them to shreds.
