We started off at the Blankney Fox hounds who met at Walnut Farm, Brant Broughton. Our two teams of foot sabs successfully tag teamed them for several hours and our constant presence stopped them from doing any hunting at all. Phillip, the huntsman, appeared very disinterested and stuck mostly to bridleways and tracks (possibly as the farmers wouldn't want him churning up their fields in the damp conditions).
We lost them just after one but all the evidence would suggest they'd called it a day. The field all packed up and the terrier boys could be seen loading their quad back onto its trailer.
We gave the area a good scout to ensure they were finished and were thrilled to stumble upon the Per Ardua beagles who were hunting just to the East. Foot sabs immediately leapt into action anfd got into the fields with them and thus commenced their customary walk of shame back to the hound van. Even the hunt staff had no answer as to why they always pack up when we arrive if they're hunting within the law.
We happily sat and watched them have a picnic before trailing them to a local pub where they left the beagles in a cramped trailer while they went in and had a drink. We hope you weren't drink driving Tim!
